The Independent Textile Rental Association (ITRA) is committed to promoting and advancing the textiles services profession. To demonstrate this commitment, ITRA will provide $2,500 annually to help fund continuing education for ITRA Operator Members and their staff. One scholarship will be awarded per year but past recipients may re-apply each year as they continue through a program. Applicants will fit the following criteria to apply for the scholarship:
- Applicant must be an employee or immediate family of an employee of an ITRA Operator Member plant.
- Candidates who plan to make the textile services industry a career will be a priority.
- Candidates whose program provides maximum potential benefit to their respective employer will be a priority.
Completed applications should be mailed in advance to the ITRA office where they will then be forwarded to the Scholarship Committee for review no later then 30 days before the next ITRA Mid Year Training meeting (January 9, 2017 for the 2017 Fall session). Interviews will be conducted if necessary and the successful candidate will be announced at the annual ITRA Mid Year Training meeting. All other applicants will be notified by email after the Mid Year meeting. Funds for the scholarship will be dispersed directly to the educational program (“third party pay”).
